For this week, we’ll have some words of wisdom from the mysterious Squire of the Wood, whose identity will be revealed in the course of this week’s reading (chapters 10-19). Well, the "words of wisdom" is a question, but one that speaks to the squire's wisdom. He addresses his master, the Knight of the Wood (later the Knight of the Mirrors), remarking on Don Quixote:
“So tell me now, who’s crazier: the man’s who’s crazy because he can’t help it or the man who chooses to be crazy?”
This question is one, I suspect, we will all be asking! And which aspect applies to Don Quixote? Is madness chosen or given?
